This year’s Academy of Country Music Awards was somewhat shocking after two, not one, but two artists got to share the entertainer of the year award.
Throughout the 55-year-long existence, there have never been two artists sharing the entertainer of the year award but with everything that’s going on in 2020, this hasn’t surprised us at all with all things considered.
Thomas Rhett and Carrie Underwood together, shared the entertainer of the year award.
“What is happening right now?” is how Thomas Rhett started his speech, Carrie Underwood on the other hand shook her head and said: “2020, man!”

Carrie Underwood winning this year’s ‘Entertainer of the Year’ award at the 55th ACM Awards made history because she became the first woman to win “Entertainer of the Year’ three times”.
The 3-hour long even that didn’t allow any audience at all and saw performances coming from different venues across Nashville: Ryman Auditorium, the Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium was rather a competitive one.
Taylor Swift even made a debut performance of ‘Betty’ on the show.
