The Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM Awards) will this year be without an award for New Duo or Group of the Year because there’s no new duo or Group thus the trophy won’t be given out in this category.
This year will also see Popstar, Justin Bieber at least walk away with one trophy(this is not a guarantee though) after he scored 4 nominations at the 55th ACM Awards.
Old Dominion, Blake Shelton, Dan + Shay also scored themselves four nominations at the coveted ACM Awards in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Sunday, April 5, 2020.
At this year’s show, it’s only two people who have 5 nominations.
Maren Morris and Thomas Rhett are the only two artistes and producers who have scored themselves 5 nominations with Rhett earning his first-ever Entertainer of the Year nomination in the process.
Maren Morris scored five ACM nominations for the 2020 show, she was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, Female Artist of the Year, Album of the Year as both artist and producer, Group of the Year with the Highwomen and Music Event of the Year for ‘Fooled Around and Fell in Love’ with Miranda Lambert.

Thomas Rhett earned his first-ever Entertainer of the Year nomination at the 2020 ACM Awards. He’s also up for Male Artist of the Year, Album of the Year as both artist and producer and Video of the Year.
