Singer-songwriter Priscilla Presley sold her palatial Beverly Hills mansion for $2 million less than what she was asking for when she put up the house for sale.
Presley sold a prime real estate in one of the world’s most exclusive zip codes, 90210 in Beverly Hills. The private estate is gated, and meticulous grounds offer a mix of splendor and protection from unwanted eyes.
Presley’s Italian villa-style former mansion sits behind gates on an acre of grounds. Brick walkways and patios, fountain features, gardens and creeping vines give the home a relaxed feel.
The house was build in 1951. The primary suite, one of seven bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms, opens to a private terrace. A separate guest suite sits above the garage.
The house displays such character details as vaulted ceilings, exposed beams and arched doorways. Rich wood panels line the walls in the library. Velvety curtains and lacy wrought ironwork lend a Parisian note to the dining room.
The singer-cum-actress originally listed her 7-bedroom villa for sale in September of 2020, initially asking $16 million for the estate.
She however dropped the price to $14.5 million in November, and ultimately sold the opulent residence for $13 million in December of 2020.
Presley sold another family property last year. She is the only child of singer and actor Elvis Presley and actress Priscilla Presley, as well as the sole heir to her father’s estate. Presley has developed a career in the music business and has issued three albums.
Presley was married to Elvis Presley for about six years and previously served as the chairwoman of Elvis Presley Enterprises. As an actress, she is known for her roles in “The Naked Gun” films and on the prime-time television soap opera “Dallas.”
